The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Zimbabwe and the E-Commerce and Digital Economy Branch of UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) are organizing the launch of the eTrade Readiness Assessment of Zimbabwe (eT Ready) on 22 May 2025.
The launch of the eT Ready will bring together representatives of the main stakeholders from the public sector, private sector and civil society as well as development partners.
Prior to the launch on 21 May, a development partners’ roundtable will be held to share information and explore opportunities for collaboration to fast-track the implementation of eT Ready recommendations. On the same day, a training workshop will be organized on UNCTAD’s eTrade Reform Tracker, an online tool designed to support the coordination and monitoring of the implementation of the recommendations included in the eT Ready.
The eT Ready of Zimbabwe is the 39th assessment conducted by UNCTAD, the 20th in Africa. Funding was provided by the Republic of Korea and the E-commerce and Digital Economy Programme core donors (Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and the Kingdom of the Netherlands).
